MICHELLE SCHINI HANELINE, CPA
Michelle is a third generation Coeur d’Alene resident and proudly serves as President of Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990, and joined Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs in 1995. Her current areas of focus include individual and business taxation as well as developing a practice in medical, dental consulting and business valuations.  Michelle also has nearly 20 years’ experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
She currently serves as Treasurer of the North Idaho College Foundation. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling and spending time with her husband and children.
ANTHONY OSS, CPA
Anthony Oss joined Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs in 2010, after obtaining a BS in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Idaho in 2008 and a MS in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation from Boise State University in 2010.
Anthony was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, where he and his wife are now raising their daughter. He also enjoys challenging friends on the basketball court.
MIKE SCHAFFER, CPA
Mike has a Bachelor of Accountancy, Cum Laude from North Dakota State University. Prior to joining the Firm he served as senior manager in the Tax Department at Eide Bailly LLP, Boise, ID. His professional designations include CPA Licenses in Idaho and North Dakota.
DEVLIN FLAMM, CPA
Devlin was Tax Manager for Dougherty & Associates for 10 years before joining the Magnuson Mchugh Dougherty team. An accounting graduate of the University of Tampa, Florida, Devlin has a Master of Accountancy Degree from the University of Idaho. Devlin has worked in public accounting since 2008. She has experience in all areas of tax preparation, planning and research with an emphasis in construction, real estate, retail, legal, medical and dental practices.
In her spare time, Devlin enjoys spending time with her family doing outdoor activities, including golfing, slow-pitch softball, camping, snowmobiling, and most importantly fly-fishing.
BILL DOUGHERTY, CPA, CFP®, PFS
The owner and principal of Dougherty & Associates, CPAs before merging with Magnuson Mchugh to form Magnuson Mchugh Dougherty, Bill is an accounting and Financial Services entrepreneur providing financial and tax advice for over 27 years in the Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls, Idaho area.
Bill has built a successful financial services firm, Wealth Management Strategies, LLC, with diverse clientele of regional and international individuals, businesses, trusts, and nonprofits. His areas of expertise include tax planning, estate planning, investment portfolio selection, risk management and real estate investment strategies.
Outside the office, Bill enjoys cooking, ATVing, fly fishing and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
TORI GRAY, CPA
Tori Gray was born in North Idaho and grew up here and in Montana. She has deep roots in Kootenai County, with a large local extended family. After graduating from the University of Montana, Tori joined Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs in 1992. In addition to her consistent focus on tax services, Tori became CEO of the Company in 2011.
She has also been very active in professional affairs, serving in various roles with the American Institute of CPAs, the Idaho Society of CPAs, and the Idaho State Board of Accountancy. Locally, she has served with various civic groups, most notably a long-time association with Sunrise Rotary. In her spare time, Tori enjoys traveling and spending time with family including her husband, his children and grandchildren.
TAD JOHNSON, CPA
Tad joined the firm in October 2018 and came to the team with over seven years of experience in public accounting. He also has experience in financial reporting. Tad holds a CPA license in both Idaho and Minnesota.
His education includes a B.S. in Accounting from St. Cloud State University and an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of St. Thomas. Originally from Minnesota, Tad relocated to North Idaho in 2017.
He enjoys being involved in the community and is currently a member of the Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary, a board member of the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and volunteers with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
BRIAN PARASIDA, CPA
Brian graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelors of Business Administration with concentrations in Account and Finance, as well as a Masters of Accountancy and has worked in public accounting since 2012. He has experience in all areas of tax preparation, planning and research, with an emphasis in the construction, real estate, service, and not-for-profit industries. Brian has practiced accounting in both Washington and Idaho.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys golfing, hiking, cycling, and spending time on the lake with his family.
LAURA PARASIDA, CPA & CFE
Laura joined our company in 2020 after working with a Spokane Accounting Firm. Laura is a proud graduate of the University of Idaho, with a B.S. Degree in Business Accounting and a Master of Accountancy Degree.
TYLER BONNER, CPA
Tyler joined our firm in December of 2021 after moving here from Yakima, WA, where he worked for Alegria & Company Accounting Firm. He received his Accounting Degree from Whitworth University in Spokane.
KELLY DICKSION, CPA
Kelly was an important part of Dougherty & Associates for over 25 years before coming over to Magnuson Mchugh Dougherty with the merger of the two companies. She enthusiastically heads the Business Resources Department for the firm. An accounting graduate of the University of Idaho, Kelly has worked in the accounting field for 30 years. She has extensive experience in all areas of tax preparation and planning. She is our primary contact for business owners and their accounting personnel, and is an expert in QuickBooks® and QuickBooks Pro®, overseeing installation and support of these business accounting systems for MMD clients.
Outside of the office, Kelly is involved with church activities and enjoys spending time outdoors gardening, ATVing, bicycling, and snowmobiling. Her favorite sport is football.
MARY COOPER
Mary joined the firm in December 2016. She’s a proud graduate of Gonzaga University with a Business Degree in Accounting. Before coming to MMD, she was a Retirement Plan Administrator for 26 years with Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting, Inc. in Spokane.
She has achieved the designation of Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) and is a member of the Gonzaga Prep Finance Committee.
KORBY BAKER
Korby joined the firm in 2010. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Business.
Marla Ringling, CPA, CFP®, MT, CLTC, PFS
Marla is an innovative CPA/CFP® with a strong accounting and tax background. She brings over 20 years of experience as a valued business consultant to a wide variety of businesses. Marla has extensive experience as a Certified Public Accountant to individuals and various business entities.
Marla’s expertise has covered financial statement preparation and analysis, estate and pension planning, living trusts, charitable gifting, sales and management, retirement planning, college planning and taxation. She is a national tax speaker/presenter for Surgent-McCoy, CPE, LLC and co-authored Hard-Hitting Tax Savings Tips for Corporations.
In her free time, Marla enjoys traveling, camping, boating and ATVing.
MADI ROWLEY
Madi joined the firm in December 2016. As an Idaho native, she graduated from Lewis Clark State College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
EMILY FINLEY
Emily joined the firm in December 2020 after working as a Public Accountant with a Spokane Accounting firm. She’s a native of Washington State and a 2018 Honors graduate of Eastern Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, Professional Accounting.
MIKE WEBSTER
Mike joined the firm in 2020. He graduated from Lewis & Clark State College with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management Accounting. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, he’s been an Idaho resident for 15 years. He was previously a Warehouse and Operations Manager for H&H Company.
SYDNEY SOPPE
Sydney joined our firm in 2021 after serving on our staff as an Audit Intern for two years. A Boise native and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Boise State University, she is also a Summa Cum Laude Business graduate of Idaho State University. Aside from her duties at Magnuson McHugh Dougherty, Sydney is also involved in Coeur d’Alene’s Women In Business organization.
DAN PARSLEY
Dan is a 4th generation North Idaho native that joined our firm in January 2022.
With a BAS degree in Accounting, Dan was formerly employed by Myer & Stauffer LC in Kansas City, Missouri, specializing in Medicare and Medicaid Auditing.
ISAAC EDWARDS
Isaac joined the firm in February 2022. An Idaho native, he graduated from Chapman University in California. He previously interned at Baker Tilly, US, LLP.  He’s a member of the Blessed Sacrament Lutheran Church in Hayden, ID.
NATALIE GRACE
Natalie started with Magunson McHugh in July 2022 after working as a controller for a small farm equipment business. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, and graduated summa cum laude from Boise State University with a master’s degree in accounting.
JEANNETTE ALEGRIA
Jeannette is a Coeur d’Alene native who joined the firm in October 2022. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Lewis-Clark State College and was formerly a Corporate Accountant for a publicly traded company.
KELLY NIKULA
Kelly has been with MMD since 1983 serving a variety of roles, including Network Administrator for the IT department. With more than 30 years in the industry, Kelly has recently joined the small business services department as an Accountant, focusing on bookkeeping and payroll. She has a degree in Computer Programming from Las Vegas Education Dynamics Institute and also attended the University of Nevada majoring in Accounting. Kelly is a certified QBO Pro-Advisor and enjoys volunteering at local community events in her free time.
KIELEY NIELSEN
Kieley joined the firm in 2018. She started at the front desk and worked her way into an Accountant position with the CAS department. She is a Native Idahoan that studied Business & Hospitality at North Idaho College.
VAL JOHNSON
Val Johnson previously worked with the team at Dougherty & Associates CPAs as Firm Administrator for a combined 21 years until joining Magnuson Mchugh Dougherty. Val is responsible for business support services, including bookkeeping, payroll services, and billing, as well as income tax preparation. She is a Notary Public with the State of Idaho.
Originally from Deary, Idaho, Val is also a busy mom and an active volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County and AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention). She also recently received her Instructor Certification to teach Barre classes at SoulBarre in the Spokane Valley.
LISA NYQUIST
Lisa has been with Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs since 1991 and is an Idaho native.
DANIELL ALWORTH
Since joining the Company in 2011, Daniell has been working on her associates degree at North Idaho College and plans to pursue further education after that at Lewis Clark State College. She is a North Idaho native.

Donna has been with Magnuson McHugh Dougherty CPAs since 2008.
SHELBY JEWSBURY
Shelby joined the firm in May 2021. This well-traveled Spokane native is a graduate of Keele University in the United Kingdom and Whitworth University in Spokane. She was previously an Administrative Assistant in Dermatology and Imaging and an Editor/Contributor to Concourse Magazine and the Whitworthian.
Outside of work, she’s involved in the Keele University USA Alumni group and actively supports the Kootenai Humane Society and the Shriner’s Hospital.
